A great option if you need a cheap bed, or four, near the center of Västervik for a couple of nights. The fee also includes a pool with a shower. The staff are nice and always willing to help. My flat had a cooking plate, microwave and refrigerator. Bring cookware, soap and towels and you’ll have what you need for a stay in Västervik. You can rent bed linen or bring a sleeping bag.
Our room was fresh and spacious, with easily enough space for at least four people. There’s no private shower, but there is one by the pool. We were only there for one night, even though the accommodation seems set up for a longer stay. It rained a lot while we were there, which made things a bit more boring. The place was nice and very responsive, but lively neighbors aren’t a plus. Satisfied overall.
The room had a nice view and a small patio, plus a little kitchenette with a fridge. It was quite okay for one night, with a double bed and a bunk bed. There’s a toilet in the room, but no shower; one is available by the pool. The pool wasn’t in use, and the bar and ice cream cafe were closed, which was a minus. It’s about a 15-minute lovely walk along the water to the center.
It’s an “emergency shelter,” as the name suggests. The location is good, right beside a café. Bring your own bed linen and towels.
