Evedal Camping

Everyone working there was lovely, from reception to the housekeeper. The place is clean, comfortable, and the facilities are in good shape. It’s close enough to town to be convenient, while still quiet, with beautiful surroundings.

It’s a roomy campsite with a lovely lake to swim in. Sarah and Mathilde at reception were really helpful. Tyvm 😄👍

We remembered this place from six years ago as peaceful and fairly quiet, but it’s changed a lot. The crowds, loud music from huge speakers, and kids screaming everywhere were too much for us. One child even kept squeaking a toy to rile up our dog. We’d booked two nights but left after one. That mismatch with our expectations wasn’t really the campsite’s fault, and it doesn’t make it a bad place, just not for us. We still give it four stars. The location is good, the service house is clean enough, and the restaurant serves very nice food with friendly staff.

It’s a lovely site and worth a visit, though it isn’t cheap. The modern toilets and showers are clean, and there’s everything you need. Showers use a card for three minutes at a time, which you have to recharge after a few goes. Remember, it’s card payment only, no cash. I just wish the shop had more groceries. There’s plenty of ice and candy, though 😉
