Vallåsens Värdshus - Hostel

We were a group of 30, and every one of us was impressed by the food. It was AMAZING, some of the best we’ve ever had. The location is perfect for enjoying nature. We’ll definitely return ❤️

The food was a huge surprise. Every dish the chefs made was incredible, and although I eat meat, I didn’t miss it once during the whole week. Everything on the menu was vegan or vegetarian, and I left nearly every plate spotless. This is a great place to get away from the big cities. The rooms were spacious, cleaned regularly, and had lovely views of the surrounding forest, which made them feel peaceful. They’re luxurious compared with cabin rooms, though fairly standard next to other luxury hotels, and there aren’t high-tech appliances in the rooms. That suits a nature retreat, so it didn’t bother me. There’s a games room with ping pong and billiards, an outdoor hot tub and an indoor sauna. Outside, the property is surrounded by lush forest with a stream running through it, nearby fields with sheep and cows, and a small lake connected to the grounds where you can take a quick dip. I’ve never felt so relaxed. I even cut down my usual screen time because I wanted to enjoy the natural surroundings.

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and the meeting rooms had everything we expected. The inn is also surrounded by breathtaking nature. Our international youth organisation held an event for 60 people at Vallasens Vardshus, one of the best venues we’ve used. The staff were incredibly helpful and flexible, going the extra mile to track deliveries, arrange transport from Malmö and welcome speakers arriving late at night. They adapted the menu to serve only vegan food, which was delicious. As a group, we agreed it was the best vegan food we’d ever had. I can’t think of a better place for a summer camp, conference or working party. We’ll be back for a personal holiday.

A tasty breakfast and great shared facilities, including a kitchen, dining room, sauna, barbecue, boule yard and secure bike storage. It’s an excellent escape from city life, with a forest, fish pond and creek nearby. For some adrenaline, Vallåsen’s MTB downhill and skiing hill is only 3 km away.
