Hotell Gässlingen

The beds and linens are amazing, and the rooms are super comfortable. The staff are very polite, but a few things felt odd: there’s no kettle in the rooms, no kids’ dinner menu, and no coffee at breakfast. The outdoor hot tub wasn’t hot, and its water was very dirty. Still a nice place, just missing some basics.

We were lucky to have the spa almost to ourselves for most of the time. It has a large outdoor pool, two small outdoor hot pools, an indoor hot pool and a big sauna. Breakfast was good, a typical Swedish hotel breakfast, and the surrounding area was beautiful for a walk. Our newly renovated room felt fresh, with a very comfortable bed and a heated bathroom floor. It’s a small, cozy hotel close to the sea, with everything we needed for a weekend away. The customer service was nice too, and Tuva at reception was very helpful and service-minded. We’ll definitely be back!

The restaurant, reception and courtyard were cozy and nice, and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. But the rest of the staff didn’t smile, so we were left unsure whether we were welcome. The rooms were VERY worn, with marks on the walls and glue residue where signs had been stuck up with tape. The shower didn’t work properly, and there was a lot of noise from the reception on the floor below. Even at half the price, the standard would still be too poor. Find somewhere else to stay.

The hotel is so beautiful, and we spent many hours in the spa. Breakfast was just perfect 😍
