The three-course meal was good, served in a buffet-style setup, and the food made use of local produce. We came for a Swedish Christmas meal arranged for companies. The owner’s introduction went on a little too long, and the Lucia performance was lovely, though also longer than we wanted.

A handy base for Falsterbo/Skanör, Malmö and Trelleborg. The room had good furnishings but felt cold, and there was no way to turn the heat up. There are four EV chargers, though getting to or from them can be awkward.

There are lots of meeting rooms and plenty to eat, so it works well for smaller meetings or events. The rooms are basic and need renovating, and the lobby shuts after dinner, which makes it feel less like a hotel. It’s also pretty isolated. If you’re after the feel of a working countryside pig farm, with the air and vermin that come with it, you might find that here.

We needed a night in Vellinge while buying a car and waiting for the paperwork, and this place was really dirty. It badly needed cleaning, and I didn’t eat anything at breakfast because it wasn’t good. We still paid 170 euros for the night with breakfast. I’ve never written a bad hotel review before, but I definitely don’t recommend this one.

The kids had a lovely time walking around and seeing all the animals. It’s a beautiful country retreat, with really friendly staff and great food. We’d be happy to come back.
