Falkopings Vandrarhem hostel (closed)

Amazing place!

👏 The staff were good.

The room had fresh paint and new flooring, with just the most essential furniture. Parking outside the hostel was scarce, and the staff gave no information about nearby options. The taps in the bathrooms also need attention: in the middle setting, the water was at its hottest. Getting help was difficult. They hadn’t explained checkout or how to return the bed linen, and when I called the three phone numbers for assistance, it was hard to get an answer. The person who did respond came across as a little rude and not very service-minded. There were a few other small things that could be improved too.

I booked based on the price and didn’t look closely enough, so it was a bit of a gamble. This isn’t a separate hostel, it shares its building with other organizations. It also seemed like either a refugee camp or a large group of men who didn’t speak Swedish had booked the place and taken over the common areas. I prefer a standalone place near nature and green space, so booking here was a mistake. Good luck.
