Breakfast was good, and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean but a little small. Hot water took a while to come through the shower, though it did arrive if you waited. Shampoo and soap were provided.

The food was the one real bright spot, along with the staff who smiled and whom we liked, until the final evening. At midnight, our room lost power, and we honestly didn't feel safe. When I told the woman at checkout, who may have been the owner's daughter, she showed little concern and just pointed to a phone number. That wasn't helpful to me. No one asked about a refund. Instead, she asked whether we were done with the room, which felt cold after we'd paid over 5000 SEK for the experience. The room was tiny, almost claustrophobic. There was Wi-Fi and Pluto TV, so we watched a lot of Hell's Kitchen. Before arriving, we called to change the booking and extend our stay, and the owner seemed very sweet. It's a family-run hotel, which could be charming, but there's no staff after 20:00. If you're considering booking, check the other places in the area too.

We had one of our best meals in Sweden here, and the portions were generous by Swedish standards. The staff were incredible. It was a bit expensive, but worth it for a truly perfect dining experience.

The hotel is a great base for exploring this pretty city, its old center, the port, and nearby beaches. It's a welcoming and well-run family place, with a generous breakfast. Highly recommended.
