The rooms aren’t very spacious, but mine was clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. I spent four nights at Hotel 81 Gold in February 2026, and felt it was worth the price. Housekeeping looked after the room well, and the service was good. There are plenty of food options nearby, including several restaurants just a few minutes away. The MRT station is within walking distance, while the main road for buses is about 100 metres away. You can take the MRT to Changi Airport, or use Grab, which costs around SGD 25-30 depending on the time. With luggage, Grab or a taxi is the better option.

The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. It’s about a 15-minute walk from Aljunied MRT station, which can be a hassle with luggage. Local restaurants only take local QR code payments, so it’s better to carry cash.

The only real drawback was the bathroom layout. The shower isn’t separated, so water gets over the sink and toilet area and stays on the floor for a while. We spent a week at Hotel 81 Gold and found the room clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for a short stay. The bed was comfortable too, and reception staff were very nice and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy. Bus stops nearby make it simple to get to the city centre, and there are lots of good places to eat around the area. It felt safe and pleasant, and was good value for money.

The room was clean and the hotel is good for the price. We were given just one room card, which was okay for us most of the time. There’s a bus stop nearby, and Aljunied MRT is about a 5-10 minute walk.

Getting around was easy, with shops and eateries close by and public transport just outside the hotel for trips to major attractions. The check-in was efficient, and the room was tidy and very clean, with the essential things I needed for a short stay. The staff were polite, helpful, and efficient. CJ Chun, Salma, Aida and James were especially great and are an asset to the company. Hotel 81 Gold gave me good value for money during my memorable, comfortable four-night stay. Thanks to the whole team.
