The location was a long way from Bled. Google Maps says 8 minutes by car or over an hour on foot, and traffic usually makes the drive take longer. We paid a ridiculous amount for just the small, one-bedroom top-floor flat, not the whole house. The WiFi was too slow for work calls, so we ended up searching for hotels in Bled with faster internet. The landlord also couldn’t provide a duvet or pillow for the top bunk for our daughter, only a mattress protector and fitted sheet. The washing machine was in the garage two floors below, shared with the landlord’s sister downstairs. It was often in use when we wanted to start laundry early and head out sightseeing, which wasted a lot of our time. It’s an old machine and sometimes didn’t spin or dry the clothes properly, so we had to go up and down and rerun the cycle. On our last day, the sister accused us of using it three times a day and wanted extra payment, though that wasn’t true. We’ve rented many places with young children and used the washing machine as often as we needed without being told off. After we told the landlord what happened with her sister, she didn’t respond or even apologize.

A great place, well equipped and handy for Pokljuka and Vintgar. It’s a pleasant 30-minute walk to central Bled, or just 5 minutes by car.
