The room was quiet and spacious, and the lake was only a short walk away.

Really liked it!

After a tiring bike ride, we stopped for a drink on a sunny, warm late-April afternoon. The pub had a shady terrace by the road and felt cosy, a bit like Route 66. The bartender was polite and attentive, and spoke enough English. A cheerful, loud group of men at the next table got us in the mood too. We exchanged a look, they picked up on it, and we joined in with gestures and a bit of shared letting off steam. The well-chilled bottled Slovenian beer was a nice extra. We’d gladly recommend it to anyone looking for beer and a good atmosphere. We didn’t rate the rooms because we didn’t stay there.

Lake Bled is about a 15-minute walk away. We liked that, especially in the evening, since the noise from the busy city doesn’t reach the place. We stayed in the small house for two. It was simple, clean, tidy, and Austrian in style, and we felt at home. There’s covered parking for the cars, and the owner was friendly, kind, and fair. At 60€ for one night, plus local tax, it was good value. I’d recommend it especially to couples, since the separate building is close to everything but quiet enough for a restful holiday.
