The balcony view was lovely, and the surroundings were peaceful. The location also worked well, with Lake Bled a 10-minute walk away and grocery stores and a bakery 5-6 minutes away. There was plenty of parking, and the apartment had room for four. Towels, soap, toilet paper, and kitchenware were provided as described. We visited in June 2025 and didn’t meet the host, who was on holiday, despite having heard good things about her. The apartment felt old and worn, and there was an odd smell inside, strongest in the corridor. Without mosquito screens, insects got in and made it difficult to sleep; the fridge’s constant hum was disruptive too. The air conditioner was okay. Cleanliness could have been better, as the utensils and bathroom weren’t as clean as expected. The kitchen had no basics like salt, pepper, or oil, so bring your own. A curtain had replaced the bathroom door, which wasn’t very practical and could let water spill out.

We spent a week at Maja Apparments last June, my husband, our kids, and me. Maja was a very good host, and the balcony view was awesome. Parking was easy, and the apartment is close to the supermarket, bakery, bus station, and Lake Bled. The stay was okay, though not especially comfortable. We had some issues with the fridge, air conditioner, bed, and bathroom door. At night, opening the balcony door brought in mosquitoes and lots of little insects.

The host was really friendly when we arrived, and the location was good. Still, at €100 a night, the apartment didn’t feel worth the price. The bed squeaked so much it woke us a couple of times, the shower doors were broken, and the room wasn’t furnished to the standard we expected. Facilities were very limited. It has potential, but based on our stay I was very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it.

We’ve stayed here twice and both visits were great. The apartment is quiet, well equipped, and reasonably priced, and the owners are friendly. The lake is a few minutes away on foot, while the grocery store and bus stop are even closer. Nothing to complain about.

Maja was such a great host that we made a bet: if we came across another host as good as her, my girlfriend would cook for the rest of our trip :)
