Everything was spotless, and the host was lovely. Lake Bled is only a two-minute walk away, with plenty of restaurants about five minutes on foot.

Quiet place, with the lake and a shop both close by.

The house has a roomy living area for six, a nice kitchen, and a lovely wooden balcony. The bedrooms are spacious too, with a large double bed in one and two singles in the other; there's also a sofa bed in the living room if you're fitting in six. Just note the staircase is narrow. It's an ideal spot, a short walk from the lake and not far from the center. You can get there by car, with parking right in front of the house, or by train or bus. I'd suggest having a car to see the region more easily.

The host was genuinely friendly, and the apartment sits in a fantastic spot just below Bled Castle.
