We visited out of season and were the only guests. No one was there when we arrived, but the host came within 10 minutes. Parking was easy, and our room had a nice terrace, so we could unload our climbing gear from the car and sort it out. The hostel facilities were fine for what it is. The host gave us maps and recommendations. It's about a 20 minute walk down a gentle hill to town. No complaints, good value for money.
Our first choice was double booked, so we landed here instead, and we were glad we did. The owner was warm, helpful, and flexible, including arranging useful rides to places farther out. It’s a simple, homegrown place with shared bathrooms and common spaces, but clean and practical, and good value for the price.
The area is really nice, and the beds are okay. There’s a terrace too, so it could work for a short stay. The rest was rough: the bathrooms were extremely dirty, towels cost extra, and the kitchen was awful. Our room had lots of bugs, including cockroaches, plus cobwebs on the ceiling. At night it felt like Jumanji. The owners were hardly around.
The staff are generally helpful, and you can rent a mountain bike for 10€/day. The place is clean and quiet, but it feels more like a bare room with bunk beds than a hostel, with little atmosphere. It’s also quite a way from the lake. The kitchen is locked most of the time, which makes it hard to put food in the fridge.
It’s a fairly small hostel, but the amenities are good enough and the owner is helpful. The kitchen is tiny. There’s also a pleasant little yard where you can park a car or motorbike.
