Guesthouse Resje

It’s peaceful and relaxing here, with a beautiful view and a lovely setting not too far from the lake. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are tidy, clean, and comfortable. Prices seem reasonable. Breakfast was OK. The Wi-Fi is free and fast, though dogs aren’t allowed. A couple of small things: the toilet seat falls back down if you try to leave it up, and there was no HDMI cable connected to the TV, so nothing could be watched.

Everyone working there made us feel at home, and I’d love to return for a longer stay and enjoy the nature, food, and people. The location is perfect, with different lakes and a waterfall nearby. And the breakfast, especially the omelet, was so good. I think the eggs come from the closest farm, and they were really tasty.

The room was small, but really cozy, with a balcony and a view. The guesthouse is away from busy tourist spots in Bled and Bohinj, though both are a short drive away. Keep driving past the Guesthouse toward Tolmin for some amazing mountain views. Skiers are close to a lift, and you can rent bikes here too. The people made the stay especially memorable. Staff were warm and helpful, greeted us smiling at breakfast, and remembered how we liked our coffee and eggs. When we had to check out before breakfast, they packed us lunch. My skin reacted to the laundry detergent, so they rinsed and changed the sheets. Dinners and desserts were all five-star, yet affordable for the quality. They also knew a lot about local wine and food pairings. It was the best experience I’ve had at a guesthouse or hotel, and I’d definitely come back if I visit Slovenia again.

A quiet, relaxing village with lovely nature all around, and a good base for hiking. There’s parking in front of the building. The rooms could use a little renovation.
