Thirsty River Apartments

A terrible place to stay, with poor service from the host. I'd booked a private room, only to find on arrival that it had a waterbed, which wasn't mentioned on the booking site, probably intentionally. I spent half an hour filling it with a jug, and it was still flimsy. When I complained, the host acted as if offering a waterbed instead of a proper mattress was normal. She said she could move me to a shared dorm bed or a mattress on the floor, but offered no compensation for the downgrade. It was late and I couldn't move, so I spent a sleepless night on the cheap waterbed. Honestly, I think they're scamming travelers who haven't read the reviews. This place should absolutely be avoided!

Very clean and good value, and a nice place to stay. Sharing one toilet with other people did get a bit noisy. I also wished there were more pillows, since the ones provided were very soft.

We had the entire place to ourselves for four nights and really enjoyed it. The backyard grill was a highlight, and everything was clean and well equipped.

The apartment was roomy and really nice. It’s close to the center, and having a car park there is a big plus in such a small center. The owners were helpful, too.
