The owners were very kind, and the area is peaceful. The beach and a restaurant are a 10-minute walk away. The rooms were clean and a good size, with a beautiful view from the balcony. Breakfast is good if requested. The owners speak English and German.

Traveling by car makes the location work fine, though it’s not very convenient to get around on foot. The beach and supermarket are each about 15 minutes away. The family house has pretty spacious rooms, with the two summer essentials, a fridge and air conditioning.

The view across the salt pans toward neighboring Croatia was beautiful, and we could bring our dog. We cooked our own meals in the rooms, which have more of an antique style. There’s no air conditioning, but we were comfortable following the owner’s advice about keeping the doors shut during the heat and airing the place out at the right times. Bike rentals are available from the owner too.
