We were just a few steps from the main beach and the center of Portorož, with a beautiful view from the hotel. Breakfast was tasty and generous too.

The staff were friendly, which was the one good thing about the stay. Everything else was disappointing for 190 euros a day. The room didn’t match the Booking photos, felt old, smelled unpleasant, and the sheets were dirty and torn. There was no air conditioning, and the ventilation was so loud that I woke several times during the night. Breakfast was very poor. Think carefully before paying this much to book here. ***** Be careful with this hotel. We accidentally broke a vase while checking in and paid 5 €. After I posted my review, the hotel demanded another 40 € from us. They don’t seem to care about guests or their reputation. I don’t recommend it.

The balcony and its view were nice, and the staff were very friendly. There was free parking, though it’s beside the main road into town. But the room was old, the shower needed renovation and had mold, and there was body lotion instead of soap. The bright white lighting made the room uncomfortable. We came because of the good ratings, but I can’t confirm them. I definitely wouldn’t rate this four stars or more, probably two or three.

My main concern was getting into the city. The route crosses a main road that bends near the hotel, and at night some drivers go fast, so crossing feels scary. Inside, the bed and pillow were among the best I’ve had in any hotel. The room got pitch black and there was no noise from the fridge. It was clean enough, though a few things could have been cleaner. Breakfast was simple but good for a short stay, and the bread was to die for. The parking area was big enough to park easily.
