Being close to the highway was the one good thing about this stay. Our room faced a little stream, and it was damp with mosquitoes everywhere. There was nowhere around the hotel to sit, have a drink, or get something to eat. The pool was closed, and a whole area was shut off from the public. The room was really humid, with lots of spiderwebs, holes in the sheets and curtains hanging by a thread. The rooms badly need renovation: the shower floor was cracked, the doors wouldn’t close properly anymore, and the AC didn’t work at all. Staff weren’t especially friendly, and they charged us something extra beyond the tourist tax.

That adorable pug was the only good part. I won’t stay here again. We were there for 10 days, but our sheets were never changed, and the towels only got changed three times. I first asked about it after three days. They left the room trash behind, so I took it out myself. A couple of times I also had to shower in cold water because there was a problem with the hot water. Breakfast included expired items. The Nescafé coffee, for example, had mould. I ordered a double espresso three times and was charged 1,5€, then 2,5€, then 1,75€. When I asked for toast because I didn’t want to go out for lunch, the answer was a firm “NO”. We were told to check out at 9AM because it was Sunday and they were closed. The WiFi signal was weak, and there were dead bugs on the walls.

The food was excellent, and the owner was very friendly. There’s parking, and the place is clean and calm. Reception is staffed until 22:00. They speak English and Italian, and the prices are good. I recommend it.

The meals were really tasty, and the place was clean and affordable. Whenever I needed help, the staff were willing to assist. A young woman at the front desk even offered to drive me to Brezice. I’d recommend staying here.

It’s a relaxing place with lovely staff and easy access from the highway. Brezice is nearby, with pretty good options for food and training, and you can take a nice trip into the neighboring hills. Ljubljana is an hour away, and Zagreb is just 20 minutes away.
