The hotel grounds are gorgeous, all green and beautiful, and you need to drive to get there. Parking is free. The rooms are basic but cosy. I missed having coffee in the room, and a kettle would be handy because the restaurant and bar close at 6 pm on Sunday.

They advertise themselves as a wedding venue and even have a brochure describing the offer, but they never responded to our wedding inquiry. We called and emailed several times, more than a year before the date we wanted, and still heard nothing. I don't know why, but it was very unprofessional.

A truly lovely spot, with a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere.

On our way back to our homeland, we stopped at this wonderful castle to have coffee and sweets in the hotel restaurant. The castle sits on a hill, not far from the highway, and is easy to reach, with beautiful nature and golf courses around it. Unfortunately, we were the only visitors in the restaurant. The friendly staff seemed to prepare only à la carte meals, so since we didn't want lunch, we couldn't get coffee or sweets. We got the impression that the restaurant mainly hosts celebrations, such as weddings and other events.

The place is lovely, and it deserves more than a quick overnight stop. We arrived too late for the restaurant, so next time we’ll make sure not to miss it. A few things to plan around: order breakfast ahead, the restaurant shuts at 8 pm, and weekends can be packed with weddings. A weekday might be a better bet. Definitely worth a visit.
