Hisa Krasna

The courtyard and the thoughtful renovation of the traditional Karst house made the strongest impression on us. It feels both elegant and authentic, and I doubt there’s another place quite like it in the region. The owners told us the story behind Hiša Krasna, and their care for quality shows throughout the house. My friend and I also loved our five-course Sunday lunch, from the creative flavor combinations and lovely presentation to the first-rate service. We’d be glad to come back, perhaps to try the much-talked-about breakfast.

We keep coming back to Hiša Krasna for the excellent food and warm, exceptional service. Every visit has been a great experience.

After a lovely night in their clean, spacious rooms, we had a fresh-produce breakfast. The tasting menu was a treat too. The chef handled every dish with care and attention to flavor, and the staff really knew how the different tastes worked together.

We ate outside in the beautiful courtyard and chose the six-course menu. The beef tartare was superb, and the whole dinner was divine, easily among the best meals we’ve had in Slovenia. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We’d happily return if we’re in the area again.
