Hotel Korosica

The clean surroundings, fresh air and pleasant views were fantastic. The rooms were clean and big enough, and the bathroom was spacious and clean too. Breakfast was basic, just cereals and a few other things. The place is nice and away from the city, though that also means it's far from supermarkets and city services. I had a very good experience at this hotel.

Dinner was the standout, easily 10 stars out of five and worth trying. Breakfast was nothing special. The room was tidy and pleasant, the bed was very cozy, and there were plenty of pillows to choose from. Some useful things were missing, like bathroom towel hangers and a plug near the bed cabinets for charging a phone. I also missed having a balcony because the view was so nice. I didn't see an elevator, which might make things less comfortable for disabled guests. The hotel itself is nice and the staff are friendly.

The location is a little isolated, but easy enough to find with Google Maps. The restaurant has a very fancy food presentation, with tablecloths and cloth napkins. The food tasted very good, and the staff were friendly, including to English speakers. The rooms were clean and well cared for, though a bit outdated.

The good price and friendly people were the main positives. I expected more, though maybe that's on me. Staff were often absent: the doors were locked after midnight, the entry code didn't work, and the reception was empty even after I rang the bell several times. My room was noisy at night, and the surroundings were extremely noisy in the morning. The towels were torn and dirty, and breakfast was average. Four stars would sound about right if the scale went up to ten.
