Sport Hotel Pokljuka

The packed lunch was really good to take on our hike, and the pinsa was tasty too. The restaurant itself felt a little soulless. There were loads of teenagers staying at the hotel, but our room was still quiet.

We had a really pleasant stay. The kids could use the sports hall, climbing wall and equipment when the weather was bad, which was great. Our room was clean and spacious, and the staff were very kind. Breakfast had plenty of choice, though the coffee there tasted strangely sweet. The coffee at the bar was perfect.

An unexpected change meant we had to cancel our trip. Even though we had booked through booking.com and the free cancellation deadline had passed, the hotel went out of its way to cancel for us. We're very grateful for their flexibility and goodwill, and hope to make the trip next year.

We were walking the Juliana trail and only stayed here briefly, which I wish we'd changed. The hosts were so kind, thoughtful and welcoming. There was plenty of room, the communal area was great, and our room was quiet. Breakfast had lots of different treats, and dinner was creative and delicious. A fabulous place to stay, highly recommended.
