We stayed in the BRAND NEW apartments listed on booking.com as "APARTMENTS EDWINA" (rated 9.3). The rooms were clean and smelled fresh, the kitchen had a dishwasher, and the staff were friendly. Online pre-check-in was easy, and everything was ready when we arrived, so we could go straight in. There were plenty of parking spaces, too. Seča is a peaceful, pleasant village near Portorož, but it isn't by the sea. We had to drive to the beach, and also when we wanted dinner on a lively riviera with a charming atmosphere. That location was the main drawback for me. Still, I really enjoyed the quiet and the pleasant evenings back at the apartment after busy days. I don't think Seča is a bad location; it comes down to personal preference. The lower price also suits such lovely accommodation.

The place is close to the Portorož seafront but tucked away somewhere quiet. My room, number 5, had a refrigerator that was noisy and didn't work well. Air conditioning was included in the rate, and there was a bidet in the bathroom and plenty of outlets. The room itself was satisfactory, though the property wasn't very clean. It seemed to be a single room made up for two people, with just one wardrobe door. The bed was short by Italian standards, with a low, hard mattress and very uncomfortable pillows. There was hardly any lighting, just two bedside lamps and no ceiling light. Refrigerators and air conditioners in other rooms also made a lot of noise.
