Breakfast was a highlight, and Silvia had genuinely useful tips for places to see and eat. I heard her helping guests in German, English and Italian. I stayed several days and felt welcome right away. The three rooms I saw were clean and well equipped, and being able to grab a bike and head out was a nice surprise. The chocolates came in handy more than once ;-) Our conference was at Hotel Bernardin, only about six minutes away, so this cozy B&B worked well as a more personal, budget-friendly option. I’d definitely recommend it.

We booked through the pension’s own booking service because its website presented that as the best way to reserve, rather than using a large booking site. The night before our stay, we found a room through it and got an immediate confirmation. We were relieved, since we’d be out late and rooms were getting hard to find. In the morning, Pension Silvia told us the booking was cancelled because the room wasn’t actually available. So now we’re searching for somewhere to stay, and considerably more places are sold out. Take this as a reason to use a big booking service, or as a reason to avoid Pension Silvia. Up to you.

The terrace was lovely, with fast Wi-Fi, and the location between the two towns was great. Clean and friendly too. I’d come back 💙💙
