The restaurant staff were kind and helpful, and dinner was a real highlight. The Idrija žlikrofi were delicious, with vegetarian options available too, which was a big plus. Breakfast had a good variety and tasted great; vegetarian or vegan choices can be prepared if you mention it beforehand. The rooms were mostly clean and tidy, though there was some dust under the bed and a few cobwebs in a corner. The bathroom was mostly clean too, but the shower faucet and walls had limescale. The beds were comfortable, but squeaked loudly whenever we moved. There’s no mini fridge, which would have helped since we brought food from home and had nowhere to keep it fresh. The TV has Netflix, nice for winding down in the evening. A great place for a short stay in Idrija, and I’d give the hotel and restaurant four stars.

I left really disappointed with the whole experience and the food. The €15 portion of žlikrofi with lamb was too salty and had only two pieces of meat. Thanks for the meal, but I won’t be coming back.

After visiting the mine, this is a place I’d recommend for a meal. We had lunch as a family, ordering ribs, ravioli, and a margherita pizza, and the food was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the toilets were spotless.

The owner was very friendly, and we could adjust the lights to our liking, though it was a bit bright. The pizza was decent, and the žlikrofi were excellent. Yum, yum, yum!
