Hotel Kendov Dvorec

My wife found the hotel warm and charming and loved it. I thought it felt a bit tired and could use some updating or renovations. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast buffet was good. For me, it's a very good 4 star hotel, though not the kind of 5 star hotel I like.

Kendov Dvorec felt like a fairytale. The room was elegant and comfortable, the service warm and attentive, and dinner was outstanding, especially alongside the local wine. An experience I'll never forget!

A picturesque place with a great view from the large room. Both dinner and breakfast were fantastic. I'd love to come back someday.

We spent five nights here as a base for exploring the region, but the stay fell short of what we expected. The attic room had a lovely village view, but it was dark and poorly laid out. The AC unit was directly under the window, so we couldn't use it without leaving the curtains open, which wasn't ideal in hot summer weather. The curtain on the bathroom roof window also fell down every day, which got annoying. There wasn't a kettle or any coffee or tea in the room, so we had to order tea through room service. Service felt indifferent and uninterested throughout our stay. Even though the welcome drink was included in our booking confirmation, no one offered it. Breakfast was minimal and the same each day: standard croissants with powdered sugar, no local touches or variety. The only highlight was a small jar of what seemed to be local honey. The room had cookies, but they weren't local or organic, a missed chance to offer something thoughtful or authentic. After the underwhelming breakfast and lack of attention to detail, we chose not to eat at the hotel. The hotel feels short on passion and hospitality. At €190 per night, we expected a much higher standard and a warmer welcome. Sadly, we wouldn't recommend it.
