Apartments Masera

We had a quick, pleasant check-in and check-out, and all the staff were friendly and spoke English well. The mountain view from the bedroom was stunning, and the balcony got lovely sun in the morning. Mašera apartments were spacious, very tidy, and well cared for. They looked even better in person than in the photos. The bathroom and apartment had everything we needed, including enough towels and shower gel for the whole stay, plus cutlery, glasses, pans, and other basics. The roomy kitchen had a decent-sized fridge and even an oven. We rented e-bikes from the owner for two days and got a great discount for staying and renting at the same place. They’re heavy, but luxurious quality and well maintained, with a strong motor, five assist modes, and an informative screen showing the remaining kilometers and battery percentage. Riding them along the Soča River and through the mountains was a pleasure. Kobarid is a cute little town with several restaurants and tourist shops. Just keep in mind there are only two grocery stores, and both are quite expensive. For a bigger shop, we’d recommend going to Tolmin. We heard the breakfast here is tasty, too, so we’ll try it next time :) Thanks for the stay, recommended!

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the place felt like great value. Our room was spotless and roomy, with a terrace looking onto a little orchard. There were complimentary sweets and a tasty digestive in the room, too. The bathroom has been renovated and looks lovely, though the tiles can get slippery when wet. Breakfast is served in a nice dining room for 9 euro per guest.

The breakfast was one of our best on the hiking trail, with homemade juices and jams, local hams, fresh crepes and more. The owners have thought of useful details, like a cloth rack for drying hiking clothes. Rooms are generous, very well equipped, and open onto the garden by a terrace or balcony. The place may not be the coziest, but everything is in top shape. They also rent e-bikes that are in great condition.

For six people, this apartment is very economical, and for the price it was comfortable and well kept. The one small inconvenience was the bathroom design: water splashes out of the bath.
