I’ve stayed at this campsite twice over the last two years and enjoyed both visits. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained, and my friend was stunned by how nice they were. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant was great, especially the morning croissants. It’s in a beautiful valley with mountain views, within walking distance of Kobarid, though you can stay on site if you prefer. My first pitch was comfortable and set at the back of the field, but had no view. The second was awesome, more private, right by the restrooms and restaurant, with beautiful trees behind it and a mountain view. Both stays made for a great way to visit Soča Valley. We spent most of our days out, and the campsite gave us easy access to all the amazing sites. The price was reasonable, especially since we walked in without a reservation both times. I’ll definitely be back.

The campsite is a little outside Kobarid, which gives it a bit of a wild camping feel. They also have hostel-like accommodation if that’s more your thing. The owners and staff were super friendly, helpful, and easygoing. Whatever you need, just ask and they’ll do their best. They serve some basic food and drinks throughout the day.

Hot water was still available late at night, though I had to fiddle with the shower temperature a little. We spent six nights in a tent, choosing our own non-electric pitch in the roomy campsite. A few spots were uneven, and with so many guests there was sometimes a short wait for the clean toilets and showers, but never more than about five minutes. The reception staff were genuinely helpful. We'd gladly stay here again.

They keep tents and recreational vehicles in separate areas, so our tent wasn't wedged between caravans and mobile homes. There's plenty of room for your things, decent sanitary facilities, and a bar. A cozy, welcoming campsite in Slovenia's nature, run by very friendly owners.

Biking made it easy to reach Kobarid or find a place to swim in the nearby rivers. The kids had a playground and a soccer field, and we liked being able to get a drink or a meal at the bar in the evening. We stayed at Rut Camping in August 2024 and had a great time. It's a simple place with what you need, and it didn't feel crowded. The owners are super friendly.
