We’ve had our best meal in Slovenia so far at this no-frills little taverna. It does what it promises. The Kransky and schnitzel were both excellent, and the prices seemed very reasonable to me, despite what others say about the food being expensive. Paying €5.50 for bottled mineral water did feel a bit ridiculous, though.

We had a traditional Slovenian lunch here on 28/07/2024, and both the food and service were amazing. Calves’ liver, mushroom soup, buckwheat porridge with mushrooms, salad, and sweet cottage cheese dumplings, all stunning. The server was the best, funny and professional. Huge thanks for the meal. Treat yourselves, and I’d highly recommend the restaurant. If we get the chance, we’ll be back 🙏🤩

I’ve eaten here several times and will no doubt be back now that I work for a Slovenian company and stay nearby. There’s a big menu with plenty to choose from, and it’s available in several languages. The waiters are helpful with suggestions. It’s not fine dining, just very good home-cooked style food. Good wine, a nice atmosphere, and friendly, helpful staff. The only reason I haven’t given five stars is that they’d have nothing to aim for..! :-)

Simple Slovenian-style dinner, with generous portions and good value. The local sausage was nice, if not amazing. We also had pasta and chicken cordon bleu. The waiter was very friendly, funny, and spoke good English.
