We spent one night here at the end of a road trip through Sloveniak, Croatia, and Bosnia Herzegovina, before a flight the next day. It’s about 20 minutes from the airport, and the property is updated and beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. The restaurant was closed that evening for a family wedding, so I can’t comment on dinner. The room AC wouldn’t go below 22C for some reason, but otherwise we were comfortable. I’d highly recommend staying here.

We’ve visited Hisa Aleś three times and can’t recommend it enough. It’s a family-run small hotel in a village just outside Kranj, with warm hospitality and great food. The restaurant dinner is fantastic and the service impeccable. Rooms are spacious and clean, with lots of room for clothes and suitcases. It’s well placed for Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj, Ljubljana airport, and exploring Old Town Ljubljana without the crowds. Before dinner, we enjoyed a glass of champagne on the terrace. The staff also gave us great advice about parking in Ljubljana. After our three-week vacation, they accommodated us on our last day in Slovenia and let us check in early. We had an early flight from LJU, and they set breakfast out 30 minutes early just for us. The presentation was lovely, with lots of locally sourced food and some great scrambled eggs. Slovenian hospitality and food at its best. We hope to return.

We stayed just one night to be near the airport for an early start, but could easily have stayed longer. The room was great and the shower was fab. We were steered toward the steak at dinner, and it was excellent. Breakfast was really good too, and it seems like a good base for day trips. Getting to play with the kitten was an extra treat!

A great stay. The place is newly built or renovated, very clean, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I’d recommend it and would definitely come back.
