B&B Hotel Ljubljana Park

Our family suite had three rooms and everything we needed for a short visit. The staff were very professional, welcoming, and polite, and the hotel has lovely views in a beautiful city. Cleanliness was generally excellent, though a little more attention to some hidden corners would help. There’s no private parking on site, which is a minor drawback for road trippers. Still, the comfortable rooms and quality service more than make up for it. A solid family choice.

The location is great, the reception staff are all great, and the halls and rooms are clean. Breakfast is okay, though there isn’t much choice and I was bored of it by the second day. You can’t hear other rooms from yours, but hallway sounds carry so much it can seem like someone is coming into your room.

Friendly staff and clean rooms, with a very comfortable bed and lovely linen. The walk-in shower was great, and the handheld hairdryer was handy, not one fixed to the wall. It’s a modern hotel near good restaurants and bars, with the old town just across Dragon bridge. Breakfast was okay. The train and bus station are about 10 minutes away.

The location is outstanding, nearby parking is convenient, and breakfast was a highlight with plenty of variety. Options for gluten-free food and non-cow’s dairy were limited, though. The rest of the stay was deeply disappointing, especially given our good experiences at B&B locations in Mantua and Pomezia, which led us to book this one for its position. Three of the four rooms we booked hadn’t been cleaned adequately before we arrived. We were told rooms aren’t cleaned daily because guests don’t need it, so we had to request cleaning, and the service we got was ineffective. The rooms were also excessively hot. We turned off the heating and opened the windows, which seemed to undermine the environmental benefit claimed for the no-cleaning policy. At check-in, we were mistakenly charged a pet fee even though we’d confirmed our dog wasn’t with us. Two days later, after being passed between a colleague and email, we were still waiting for supervisor "Sharon" to process the refund. Our key card also had to be re-magnetized twice, which made the equipment seem outdated. The hotel’s environmental claims felt like absurd greenwashing when service failures had such a direct effect on guest comfort.
