We booked Cacao Rooms at the last minute for one night on a road trip. It was my second stay in Ljubljana, and the central location was great: restaurants and bars are right outside on a lively pedestrian street. You can’t drive up to the property, but they told us beforehand about a covered garage five minutes away, for €35 per day. The room was spacious and the bathroom was large and very clean. The decor was simple and quite dark, which isn’t really my taste. It worked well as a one-night stopover and felt like a practical choice for the price and location. If you want somewhere romantic or full of charm, this may not be the place.

We stayed in room 1, overlooking the busy street, but with the window shut it became completely quiet. The room was comfortable, spacious, and had the amenities we needed. Cacao’s coffee house is right next door, and they even brought our coffee and sweet treats up to the room. The main square, historic bridges, churches, restaurants, bars, and nightlife are all right outside. Loved it!

The twin room was a little dark, but otherwise I loved the place. It was really clean, the facilities were great, and there’s a small kitchen you can use if you need it. The location is the best!

The room and bathroom were both spacious and looked nice. Staff were friendly, and the location is hard to beat, right by the city center.

We contacted the hotel several times to confirm that our booking dates had been extended, but when we arrived they hadn’t acted on the request and had given the available room to someone else. We had to check out the next day and find another hotel. The room itself was very small for two people, and the WiFi didn’t work. A very disappointing experience.
