Hostel Tivoli

Breakfast was simple, with juice, toast, cereal and spreads, but it was nicely set out and there was plenty. The hostel is small and not right in the center, about 15-20 minutes on foot, and there are livelier places in Ljubljana. Still, it was clean throughout and looked newly refurbished. The reception staff were very welcoming and even kept my bag after checkout, although they don’t officially offer luggage storage. Good value and a great place to stay.

I’ll probably stay somewhere else next time. The hostel is a bit far from the center, and the rest didn’t make up for that. There was just one women’s shower, and it was so tiny that all my things got wet. The beds were big enough, but the dorm bunks are high, so be prepared for that. We picked this hostel partly for breakfast, but it wasn’t very good and we ended up buying more food at Lidl.

The beds were comfortable, and the price was good. There’s free parking, plus free coffee and tea and a simple breakfast in the morning. The center isn’t far away. I recommend it.

The rooms were kept in good order, and breakfast was included, which made for a nice start to the day. The shower rooms were the one weak point, since they weren’t always clean with so many guests using them. Staff were exceptionally kind and had great suggestions for Ljubljana. They also helped me arrange transport to Lake Bled and offered to print my bus tickets.
