The rooms were lovely and clean, right by the river and Dragon Bridge. The location is hard to beat. The outside of the building is ugly, and the old stairway is miserable, so don’t judge the rooms by the entrance. Inside, they’re great.

The location is very central, right beside Dragon Bridge, and the rooms were clean, newly renovated, and laid out well. The air conditioning worked nicely, though the shower head was poor and the kids had trouble with the digital toilet lock. There’s no breakfast, but they have an arrangement with a nearby café, which struggled with the number of guests. The exterior is rough and reception is tiny, but the keys were activated for one day too few and staff fixed it. Good value, and family friendly despite the hostel feel and the building’s odd appearance.

The check-in staff were really friendly, and the location was peaceful while still an easy walk from everything in town. I had two bookings and stayed in two rooms. One bathroom smelled strongly of sewage, and with its door shut it got very cold because there was no heating in there. The other room was nicer. There was also a big gap around the door, so corridor noise came through.

Right by the river, it felt like a real Slovenian experience, with lovely views. The rooms were comfortable and the location was excellent. A great-value choice if you’re travelling on a budget.
