We walked to a few local spots, though I think we picked some of the farther ones since each walk took about 30 minutes. It was nice to get the exercise. Back at the hotel, the staff were super friendly and the place seemed well looked after, almost new. Having drinks brought out while we lounged outside was lovely, and the pool was a refreshing break from the heat.

The garden has the best view, but the terrace there is reserved for hotel guests. Food choices are limited and you have to order ahead, with no a la carte option. I also found the staff unfriendly.

The hotel sits on a hill among the vineyards and has nice wellness facilities. But both dinners we had came with extremely salty side dishes. Checkout took over 30 minutes, there were problems applying the discount we had arranged, and an extra dinner was mistakenly added to our bill.

We had a great time here and really didn’t want to leave. The food was lovely, and they were able to adapt everything for a vegan option. Breakfast had a wide selection, including eggs, meats, cheeses, bread, fruit, and cereals. Dinner was a delicious four course meal, though it’s the only dinner option. Our room was big, air conditioned, and had a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed the infinity pool and spa services, including the sauna. The views were amazing, and the friendly staff were very attentive. It’s a short drive to town, with lots more to explore.

The hotel looks even better than the photos, and the views are stunning. The pool was great and very well maintained. Staff were kind and spoke very good English and German. They arranged two wine tastings for us at local vineyards. Dinner is a changing four course set menu, with meat or fish options. It was a great way to try Slovenian cuisine. We absolutely loved our stay.
