Among Maribor’s restaurants, this one feels like a hidden gem. Plenty of places mainly do burgers, but here there’s proper, delicious food and the portions aren’t small. The second time we visited, the waiter brought us water for free, which was a nice touch. Definitely worth a visit.

This cozy Italian place serves good food beyond the usual pizza and pasta. The portions aren’t large, but they’re enough to fill you up and still leave space for dessert. Prices are about average. Parking beside the restaurant is limited to a couple of spots, though you can look for spaces on the nearby streets.

I liked the old-fashioned atmosphere, and the service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and straightforward, which might suit some people more than others, but we enjoyed it. The food is tasty, with an especially good pumpkin seed oil and onion soup. It’s a good choice if you want plenty of options and home-style cooking rather than a gourmet meal.

The location and atmosphere were great, and we’ll come back. We ordered the steak rare, but it arrived medium rare. It was still a great piece of meat. The other dish, patata con polo with broccoli, tasted very good too.

It was lovely to have dinner here, though breakfast isn’t available. Guests have parking, and the place is clean, spacious, and has all the facilities, all at a good price. This is a very nice guest house with a pleasant old-time feel. Highly recommended!
