Guest House Pri Gondoli

We were given clean towels and sheets throughout the stay, and the rubbish was taken out every day. The rooms and building were clean and looked after daily, which made for really remarkable service. There’s a small guest parking lot in front, with other spots around town as well. The neighborhood is quiet and clean, much like Maribor and Slovenia generally, so evenings were peaceful. The building is close to "Pohorska vzpenjača - Gondola spodnja postaja", which was very useful for our trips up and back down. The neighbors were friendly and easy to chat with. Our room’s TV was set in an awkward place and really only viewable by one person in the single bed. Since it didn’t have Netflix, that wasn’t much of an issue. The Wi-Fi worked well, so we used our own devices for evening entertainment.

This was a last-minute booking, and the low price had me expecting less, so the spacious, clean room was a pleasant surprise. We’d booked breakfast, but my girlfriend and I slept in and lingered too long in the room. The reception and restaurant teams were so kind. They made us breakfast specially without charging extra, and even gave us a lovely little "sweet box" from the house. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!

Just a one-night stop. The receptionist was really nice, the room was clean, and the bathroom cosmetics were good. But the bathroom had mold and a really bad smell that spread through the room. The space felt claustrophobic, with not even enough room for a foot on the left side of the bed. The TV was perched way too high on top of the wardrobe. One other thing: if you arrive very late to check in, you have to go or drive to the cafe, about 1 km from the house.

Clean rooms, helpful hosts, and a little terrace. Breakfast was good too. A very nice guest house, and I’d recommend it for a short stay.
