Domovoj Apartments and Rooms

The owners were so friendly and did their best to make us feel at home, and the location worked well even without a car. We could easily get to Ljubljana, Bled, and other places of interest by public transport. The apartment was clean, quiet, and well equipped, with a forest view and very comfortable beds. The bathroom had a shower, bath, and washing machine; the kitchen had a fridge, stove, cookware, salt, pepper, sugar, and coffee. We also liked being able to watch our favorite films and shows in our native language on the Smart TV. A few small things were missing: there was no freezer compartment for ice cream, no shower gel or shampoo, and the WiFi was sometimes weak. None of that spoiled our stay. I’d recommend it for a trip or a longer visit.

A peaceful base for spending a few days exploring Slovenia. The rooms are new and pleasant, and the hosts are very friendly. You can ask them for plenty of tips on places to visit, and they can also arrange a personalized breakfast.

We loved the small scale and warm hospitality here, and ended up feeling right at home. We stayed five nights in the forest view room at domovoj, and really enjoyed the scenery, especially while eating on our private terrace. The room had everything we needed, including a kitchenette and a huge, beautiful new bathroom with both a bath and shower. Andrea, Vladimir, and their pets made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of useful advice on places to see. By car, Ljubljana is about 20 minutes away, while Lake Bled and Bohinj are around an hour, so it’s a handy base for exploring. We fell in love with beautiful Slovenia and would happily recommend the stay.

You feel at home here. The hosts are easy to talk to, the views are lovely, and the homemade breakfast was delicious. I definitely recommend it.
