MAGNOLIA HOUSE by the RIVER

We chose Magnolia for a weekend with friends, and we’ve already decided to make it our yearly getaway. It feels like a place for making lasting memories, and I’d recommend it if you want quiet, nature, romance or simply some time to yourself. The house is modern, spotless and beautifully done, but still feels homely and has everything we needed. We loved the slow mornings on the terrace, listening to birds and looking out toward the Kolpa River. The large terrace hot tub was another highlight, especially with a glass of wine surrounded by nature. There’s plenty to do if you want an active break, from stand-up paddleboarding and cycling to exploring Bela Krajina and its wine cellars. Or you can just lie by the river and enjoy the silence. The view of the Kolpa and the peaceful pace made it easy to switch off from everyday life. Anja was warm, thoughtful and attentive, and all the little touches made us feel welcome. You can tell she puts a lot of love into it. An unforgettable stay. 🤍

We keep coming back to Magnolia, which has become one of our favorite places to unwind. It works well for couples, families, or anyone looking for a quiet break surrounded by nature. The houses are clean, tidy and equipped with what you need for an easy holiday. The hosts are especially kind and welcoming. With the Kolpa River nearby, the calm setting and that homely feeling, it’s easy to recharge and get away from the everyday rush. ❤️

The little bar has a pleasant garden terrace, and even nicer chairs right by the Kolpa River. At the Magnolia house, Anja made sure we were comfortable, and we arrived to little gifts from her. The house was very clean and well equipped, and it really helped us disconnect from the hectic pace of everyday life. The jacuzzi on the terrace was the perfect finishing touch. I also want to praise the yoga, which was very good, and I slept wonderfully. We’ll return.

Dogs are welcome at the campsite, which was a plus for us. Anja was friendly and attentive, and we were greeted with a small treat when we arrived. The Magnolia house was a great fit for our family holiday by the Kolpa River at Big Berry campsite, a peaceful setting surrounded by nature. The house was clean, nicely furnished and had all the useful bits covered: coffee machine, dog bowl, dishwasher, grill and even properly sharp knives. We’ll definitely be back next year.
