A relative recommended Casa Veneziana, and staying there was unbeatable. Gozard and his wife are a lovely, polite and courteous couple. They picked me up in Trieste and paid attention to what I needed throughout my visit. I got to know Piran, its food and its wines firsthand. To me, it's the best place to stay in Piran. Thanks so much for everything!

The hosts made us feel really welcome, and the room was well equipped with a great spot right in central Piran. We were glad to have air conditioning, too. Hvala! One thing to budget for is parking, since it isn't included. You have to leave the car outside the center, and the cheaper lots tend to be full. We paid €58 for two days at the Fornace parking garage. The shuttle into town used to be free two months earlier, but now costs €1.

Mr. Sencar and his wife were so kind to us when our car key went missing. He tried everything to help us find it, and when that didn't work, he arranged a rental car so we could keep traveling until a replacement key came from Germany. We're very grateful. We stayed in a romantic, quiet room in a house on Tartini Square. A Venetian merchant had once built the house for his mistress. The air conditioning worked very well, and Mr. Sencar speaks German well after studying in Germany.
