The house is old, cramped, and has lots of stairs, which is what you’d expect in the old town. Our double room was bright and fairly spacious, with a comfortable bed and a fan. We could dry clothes by the window. The host was lovely, and their cute little dog was a bonus. The kitchen was old and could feel crowded, though it was pretty well equipped. Fridge space was very limited. The bathrooms were fresh and seemed recently renovated, and the whole place was clean and tidy. Several good swimming spots, a fairly large Mercator store, the market, restaurants, and tourist information were all nearby.

The hostel was very noisy because sound carried so easily between the rooms and the corridor. We stayed for two nights, but couldn't keep the same room both nights. They didn't offer a lower price on their own, even though we had to change rooms, which was a shame. In both rooms, the mattresses were so old we could feel the springs, and the bedding was dirty and stained.

Petra gave us a warm welcome and explained everything we wanted to know about town. She was lovely and makes great Slovenian coffee. The hostel has an authentic old feel, tucked away in little streets, right in the center of Piran. Good value for the price, and a really cozy place.

For a few days by the sea, this is a good choice for a young couple. The hostel was neat and tidy, and the host and his girlfriend were kind and helpful. The price is great for a place in the center of Piran.

It took us a while to find the place, but once we did, it was fine. The owner was friendly, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. There’s a kitchen with an owen, dish and fridge. It’s in a quiet, romantic spot.
