We first tried the mushroom soup and ribs, then came back for soup and fish. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and the house wine was great as well. Veronika and Rudi were such warm hosts that dinner felt like eating at a friend’s place. They’d been recommended to us, and we were welcomed from the moment we arrived. They even sent us off with little shots “for the road.” It’s only a 15-minute drive after leaving the highway, so it’s well worth a stop if you’re passing by. I’m reviewing the restaurant only, since we didn’t stay in the accommodation. Five stars!

Veronica and Rudi were a highlight of our trip. We loved chatting with them each day, and they were always ready to help and share lots of tips. The accommodation was wonderful, with everything we needed taken care of. We also had dinner at the restaurant, where the food tasted incredible and felt very fancy for the price. If you come to Slovenia, make time for them!

Rudi and Veronika made us feel very welcome. The location is handy for exploring different parts of Slovenia, and we’d definitely return. We stayed at Glamping Bizjak in early September, and the grounds and views were lovely. Our cabin was clean and well cared for, with its own bathroom. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, and breakfast was generous, with both sweet and salty choices.

Breakfast was waiting on the table outside our tent when we woke up, and it was so delicious we couldn’t finish it. There’s a little artificial lake in the middle of the peaceful natural surroundings, with nearby hills for hiking. We had a private bathroom, free parking close by, and friendly people who made us feel welcome. The hot tub is a must-try!
