If hospitality matters to you, keep looking. There was none. The only personal contact came from a helpdesk man giving entry instructions after I called because the digital reception screen outside wasn’t working. The display was slow, kept crashing, and drove everyone crazy. The white concrete box sits out in the suburbs, about a 900-meter walk from lovely little Radovljica. It’s fine if all you want for a fair price is a bed and hot shower in a windowless basement behind three digital locks.

This felt like a strange robot hotel, with a very loud British robot voice handling check-in. There was no toilet or shower in the room. The shower was in a public area behind see-through glass, and the toilet door didn’t have a proper lock. The beds were poor quality and not very clean.

I gave it three stars for the location. Getting checked in was a mess, taking about 45 minutes and involving three people. The house feels like Fort Knox. Some things in the room didn’t work, though luckily I was only there briefly. After reading the reviews, I’m glad I skipped breakfast. I’ll look elsewhere next time.

The room felt a little gloomy, crowded and too dark, but breakfast was great. We stayed for three nights a few months ago and really liked the spacious room and its stunning view. The check-in system is excellent, and I’d recommend it to any small hotel. The city center is only a few minutes away on foot, a nice walk for some fresh air. We also had a convenient bus to Bled.
