After a soaking wet day cycling, Guesthouse bistra felt like a cosy home. They let our family spend the afternoon in the restaurant, and dinner that evening was AMAZING value. The service was excellent. One of the highlights of our trip through Slovenia.

I arrived late, but the kind host still welcomed me and offered excellent homemade food and good Slovene wine. The room was clean, stylishly furnished, and better than I expected. Breakfast was excellent, and I got useful local sightseeing tips. A pleasant surprise, and I’ll be back.

We stopped here while travelling to Ljubljana. The food was very tasty, and the rooms were lovely. After a long journey, it was nice to take a walk through the fields. The photo shows mushroom soup.

Breakfast was good, and I liked the hotel. The staff were very kind. It was surprising to find reception unattended from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. Getting there by public transport is really difficult if you don’t have a car. Kettles and slippers in the room would be a nice addition.
