Boutique Hotel Vila Planinka

The property is beautiful and peaceful, but it was the care from the team that made our stay memorable. General Manager Muhammed was easy to reach and wonderfully accommodating from the moment we arrived. Every request was handled kindly, and his hands-on approach gave the experience a personal touch that’s rare in a luxury boutique hotel. We felt genuinely welcome throughout. Many thanks to the management and the whole team for such a pleasant visit. For authentic hospitality and care, I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

We had a lot of fun celebrating New Year with the other guests and staff. The live guitarist set a lovely mood, and the hotel felt cozy and comfortable, with a nice balance of refined and relaxed. The highlight was the nine-course New Year’s Eve tasting menu, which was creatively inspiring and truly Michelin quality. Veronica made the wine experience just as memorable with her friendly, knowledgeable advice on local wines and pairings. The staff were warm, professional, thoughtful, and attentive throughout our stay at Vila Planinka. It was a fantastic experience, and we’d happily return.

If you’re short on time and visiting for the day, cycling is a great way to see the area. The e-bikes were good quality, and the team kindly pointed us toward routes with the best views. They were so welcoming even though we weren’t staying overnight, and the view from the hotel restaurant was lovely too. Thanks for the help and kindness, it really made our day!

Breakfast was very good, tasty, and served in a pleasant atmosphere, though we didn’t try dinner. The view was a disappointment, since the gas station right beside the hotel, which wasn’t apparent in the photos, spoils it. For the price and advertised standard, the stay didn’t meet expectations, and I wouldn’t return. The two gentlemen at breakfast were extremely kind, cheerful, and professional. Without them, my rating would have been even lower. I travel often and stay in five-star hotels, and this was one of the weakest rooms I’ve experienced. My issue isn’t the design or style. So much felt worn, poorly finished, or neglected: the toilet seat was peeling, the faucet opening in the countertop was too large and left visible gaps around the fixture, and wooden elements were already coming loose. It seemed lower-quality materials had been used, with things gradually deteriorating. There were also white stains on the decorative pillows, which I found unacceptable at this level. A few useful details were missing too: there was no kettle in the room and no spa bag or tote, which is usually standard at this price. On the first day, the herbal tea in the spa ran out early and wasn’t refilled that day. The spa lights weren’t working, and we were told they weren’t charged. The speaker kept repeating the same song, then loudly announced a low battery warning that echoed through the sauna area. I eventually had to tell staff about the lights and speaker.
