Hotel Natura - Rogla

The wellness and hotel itself are very nice, and the location and facilities are great. But the service was a nightmare. The hotel seems catastrophically understaffed: one person was at the wellness reception, and that same person was also the masseuse. The manager appeared to step in now and then, but seemed focused on micromanaging employees. Waiting at reception to enter the wellness area and the massage itself were both stressful, not relaxing. My 80-minute massage started at 15:55 and ended at 16:57. The masseuse was kind, but seemed short on experience and under a lot of pressure. I can understand the stress in her position. The coconut oil application felt more like being painted. I get massages regularly, though the person I usually see has over 20 years of experience, so maybe that shapes my expectations. This masseuse was younger than 30. I was also here for a business lunch a year ago. The food was served cold, and we waited more than an hour. If you want a great location and facilities, this is the place. If good service matters too, I strongly recommend passing on this hotel. I strongly urge the owners to change the hotel management and hire more people.

This is our third year visiting, and the reception always greets us with smiles and kindness. Tamara is especially wonderful. The hotel is in a perfect location, nice and clean, and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The food is amazing, with a good selection and something new to surprise us each time. We're especially grateful to Katica in the kitchen for being so kind and making extra effort for the kids.

We're back for the third year in a row and still haven't had enough. Great food, a wonderful location and nature all around to enjoy.

Matjaž, who runs the cross-country ski rental on the ground floor, is friendly and really knows his stuff. I rented skis from him, and the equipment was waxed and well maintained. The snow conditions were only okay at the stadium, so I got in a couple of good training sessions there. We also had a great chat with Matjaž. If you haven't tried cross-country skiing, give it a go. If you're a good skier, forest tracks are ideal when conditions are good, but even in the worst conditions you can still train at the stadium.
