The family is trying hard to make guests feel welcome, and the old-fashioned style has some charm. Still, the room under the roof was hot, with no AC. Open a window and you get mosquitoes along with the noise from the busy highway right outside, which has heavy traffic day and night. We’d have preferred AC to the big flat screen, so we could keep the windows shut and get some rest. Too bad.

I needed somewhere at the last minute during my trip, and this guesthouse gave me the authentic stay I was hoping for. You can order food there, and it’s easy to reach by car or bike. The hosts even helped me with my bike and gave me a lift to the nearest village when I left. I really appreciated it :)

The service was good, and the room had an unusual layout. Mine didn’t have much of a view, though some rooms do look out onto the mountains.

After an eight-hour drive, we arrived on time with our child, our six-month-old baby, and a miniature dachshund. We’d booked and paid through booking.com, but the man at reception suddenly said they wouldn’t take us with a dog. Their Booking page had a “dogs allowed” badge, the hotel description said so too, and reviews mentioned guests who brought dogs. He showed us a piece of paper and kept insisting that it said dogs were prohibited. Since he didn’t speak English, it was hard to sort out, and we were exhausted. It was already evening, so instead of stopping to call booking.com, we went to look for somewhere else to sleep before it got too late. The next day we requested a refund through booking.com, but the hotel refused, saying the description prohibited dogs. And, indeed, the description on Booking had changed in one day!))) You’re scammers. Shame on you.
