Hotel Dixon

The restaurant was the best part of my stay. The food looked appealing and tasted well prepared, and the busy staff stayed professional and courteous. The room disappointed me as a frequent traveler with higher expectations for accommodation. Cleanliness wasn’t the main issue, but the technical condition and lack of attention to detail were. Visible screw holes and an outdated bathroom made it feel poorly maintained. The wellness facilities were also a letdown for a hotel of this type. Only the pool and one working hot tub were available; the saunas weren’t operating, which affected the experience. The hotel has potential, but it currently falls short of the standard I expect from this category.

We only stopped in for lunch, and the restaurant turned out some amazing dishes. The grilled salmon was absolutely delicious, with broccoli florets and potatoes roasted just right. Everything was nicely cooked and seasoned. I loved the apple strudel with whipped cream too!

A few things at hotel Dixon need attention soon. The small fridge in my room never worked, even after I reported it to reception, and it still hadn’t been fixed when I checked out. There also wasn’t an electrical outlet by the desk for plugging in a computer. The bed linen could be better, and the large pillow didn’t give my neck enough support. At breakfast, the coffee tasted poor, and the automatic machine should be replaced with a newer one that can make lattes and cappuccinos.

I was here on a business trip. The hotel was good, the staff very nice, and the rooms clean.
