Hotel Prim

I booked two nights at hotel Prim but left after one. As a woman, I didn’t feel safe there, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it. Bratislava is beautiful, so don’t let this hotel ruin your visit. I’d paid for parking but there was no space available. The spots that were there were small, and I had to leave my car in front of the door because there was nowhere else. I really didn’t like leaving it there. Staff wouldn’t help when the lot was full, and they were unfriendly at check-in and when I wanted to leave. I got no refund. You pay the hotel in advance, not through Booking. The room was very dirty, especially the bathroom. The lamp didn’t work, the room smelled bad, and it was noisy enough that I could hear everything in adjacent rooms. It smelled of smoke, though the bad odor may have come from something unidentifiable left by someone else in the unplugged fridge.

There were ants everywhere, the rooms were dirty, and the place smelled bad. The front desk was rude. They make you leave your key at reception when you go out, which didn’t seem safe. The neighborhood didn’t seem good either. Local people told us not to park overnight because our car might get broken into. Find another hotel!

The AC worked, and so did the Wi-Fi. If you’re desperate, or can get a rate under 40 euros, you could consider this hotel. I was put in a room beside reception and got all the smoke from people smoking right outside it. Don’t let them put you on the first or second floor near reception!

Parking cost extra and was already full. The room was dirty, with urine on the toilet seat, and the staff were extremely unfriendly. They seemed to speak English only when it suited them. The whole place felt shady. I wouldn't recommend it.
