Parking here is free, which was a plus. The bed was just about comfortable enough to sleep in, and I got fresh towels every day, but the room itself was very basic and there's no air conditioning. The shower worked, though the broken fitting meant there was nowhere to put the shower head. The bathroom had no ventilation and smelled unpleasant. The building looked very old and badly in need of upgrades, including paintwork, construction, the parking area and leaks. It's a very cheap hotel, €140 for three nights in September 2022, and that's what you get. It isn't in the centre: about a 25-minute walk to town, with an uphill walk back.

The balcony view was the one really good thing about the hotel. From the outside the building looks nice, but inside it was terrible. I travel for work and stay in different hotels often, and this was the worst I've seen. Everything felt like it was from the 19th century. The restaurant wasn't operating, and there were no restaurants nearby. They should upgrade the place. There’s a lot of space and potential there.

The neighborhood is quite nice, but there aren't any shops around, so bring food with you. I had a refrigerator in my room. To get to the city center you need two public transport lines, though walking part of the way and taking the trolleybus is quicker. The rooms are very old, and the closets were unusable because they smelled of old wood. On the first night I was expecting bugs, but luckily didn't see any, at least on the fifth floor. The heating was fine, there was hot water, the sheets were clean, and they changed the towels. The TV only had a few Slovakian channels, and the wifi was decent.

For what you get, it’s overpriced. The room carpet and chair were dirty, and the wifi was so weak it was unusable. The balcony had no chairs or table, and the place needs renovating.
